What does the $99 actually pay for?
It reserves your place in the first ClearSync install wave and locks early-pilot pricing — the rate we charge pilot customers before we move to public pricing. The $99 is fully credited toward your final install cost, so it costs you nothing extra. If we can't schedule your install, you get it back.
Is the $99 refundable?
Yes — full refund, no questions asked, at any time before your install is scheduled. If ClearSync can't service your region or asset type, we refund automatically. Refunds process within 5–10 business days through Stripe.
When will my install happen?
We're in the early-pilot phase, scheduling installs in regional waves. Vehicle pilots are moving fastest — expect contact within 4–8 weeks of reserving if you're in an active region. Marine and Residential follow as we expand the certified install network. You'll receive an email confirmation immediately, and we'll reach out to schedule your site survey before committing to a date.
Who actually installs the glass?
Installs are performed by ClearSync-certified technicians. For vehicle pilots we're working with a network of trained auto-glass installers who have completed our certification program. Marine and residential installs use specialized crews with experience in marine glazing and architectural glass respectively. All technicians follow ClearSync's installation spec to ensure the electrochromic film and control hardware meet our warranty standards.
What's the warranty?
Pilot program installs carry a 1-year hardware warranty covering defects in the electrochromic film, wiring, and control module. Accidental damage and cosmetic wear are not covered. Post-pilot commercial installs will carry an extended warranty — terms will be published before we exit the pilot phase. We stand behind the hardware; if something fails due to a product defect, we fix it at no cost.
Does it work on my vehicle / boat / home?
Vehicle: Currently compatible with standard automotive glazing (sedans, SUVs, trucks, vans). Specialty vehicles (RVs, heavy equipment) are evaluated case-by-case.

Marine: Optimized for cabin windows on powerboats, sailboats, and yachts. Must have fixed (non-folding) glazed panels. Canvas enclosures are not supported yet.

Residential: Works with most double-pane insulated glass units (IGUs) in standard window frames. Skylights and curved glass are on the roadmap. We'll confirm compatibility during the site survey — if it won't work, we refund you.
How does the auto-tinting actually work?
ClearSync uses electrochromic film — a thin layer that changes opacity when a small electrical voltage is applied. The control module reads UV index, ambient light, and (on vehicle/marine installs) interior temperature, then adjusts voltage continuously to hit the target tint level. The transition is smooth and silent, taking 30–90 seconds to move between states. There's no moving parts and no maintenance. What happens after I reserve?
1. You'll receive an email confirmation within a few minutes of checkout.
2. Our team will follow up within 2 business days to confirm your asset type, region, and any compatibility questions.
3. Once you're confirmed in the queue, we'll schedule a brief site survey (remote or in-person depending on asset type).
4. After the survey, we'll lock an install date and send logistics details.

At every step you're free to cancel for a full refund.
